HONEY

The video clip I choose to select was from the movie called Honey. This movie was released in 2003 by Universal Pictures. The video clip I have is from the end of the movie. This was my favorite part of the whole movie. I mean the whole movie was good don’t get me wrong but this scene just made it amazing. I love how they are all dancing and putting all the choreography together. They also have different color sweatshirts on so that you can determine what groups they are in. I think that was a clever idea because it made it seem more organized. The place it was held was in a old church, and the whole point of the dance recital was to raise money so Honey could open up her own dance studio. As you look at the faces of the people watching the dance you can see the excitement in their eyes. It just brings a sense of excitement watching this film. Love it!!

This film featured music produced by Rodney Jerkins. The film stars are Jessica Alba, Mekhi Phifer, Lil' Romeo, Joy Bryant , Missy Eilliot and David Moscow. A number of popular hip hop and R&B musicians make appearances in the film, including producer, Rodney Jerkins, Jadakiss, Sheek Louch of The Lox, Tweet, and Ginuwine. Originally the main star was suppose to be Aaliyah but because of her death they had to ask another actress for the position. Jessica Alba was the one picked. I think the director added many details in this scene such as light, expressions of the views and the music. All of these things did well capturing the viewers attention. Especially the song it was very uplifting. All I know is this is one of the best movies ever!!

I have never seen this movie, but I liked this scene. I love dancing movies like this one. One of the main things I would change about this scene is stop putting the camera on Jessica Alba and that guy. Maybe focus on them one or two times, but when you keep going back to them every five to ten seconds, that gets annoying. When dancing scenes like this come on, I just want to watch the dancing. I don't care what the people in the audience are doing! Other than that, this is a great scene. I think I will have to watch this movie some time soon.

I love this scene from the movie. There is only one major thing I would change as a director in this movie. I would change lil Romeo, although he is the main character, from having his own solo part. I would change it because, he can't dance. I would put him, and his little brother in that scene and someone who can dance good. Or I would have him rap with Yolanda Admas song in the background. lol! But since the movie is about dancing then I would just take out his solo and maybe have him lead more of the dances instead of dancing by himself.
